With better healthcare facilities and low cost medical treatment, India is being touted as the next big generation for medical tourism. A study by McKinsey and the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) says that at its current pace of growth, healthcare tourism alone can take over $1.7 billion additional revenue by 2012. Medical tourism is now a $299 million industry as about 100,000 patients come to India each year. The country needs to exploit the cost advantage it can offer to a health tourist, the study said.

Dr. PK Dave, former Director of All India Institute of Medical Sciences ( AIIMS), New Delhi, guides the Orthopedic services, Dr. KK Pandey, a very senior and reputed Oncosurgeon directs the Cancer programs in the hospital and Dr. MP Sharma, former Head of Department of Gastroenterology at AIIMS, heads the Gastroenterology department of the hospital.

Rockland Hospital, in a short span has achieved several milestones. In orthopedics more than 2000 major orthopaedic procedures have been performed. The procedures include joint replacements, spinal deformity correction, complex trauma reconstruction, sports injuries, arthroscopic surgery, limb lengthening and so on.

As to initiate a drive, prices offered for overseas patients are same as in the normal billable tariff and are a fraction of the prices for the same services offered in US, Canada, UK etc.

These provide pickup and drop from the airport and railway stations and also coordinate tours to other tourist locations around Delhi.
